Custom Vancouver Tattoo Shop
Welcome to Gastown Tattoo Parlour, a local Vancouver tattoo shop! Our focus is to break the image of the stereotypical tattoo parlour ,while still remaining true to the roots of a traditional tattoo shop. We are a blend of old school values combined with modern day safety standards. Here at G.T.P. our mission is to provide you with quality and original tattoo art using advanced sterilization techniques, produced in a comfortable and safe environment by professionals.
Our tattoo studio is a sanctuary of creative self-expression and we hold a zero-attitude-policy. Each client is treated as an individual with integrity and respect. We strive to be the type of tattoo shop where you feel comfortable the moment you walk through our door.
We periodically host art shows in which local Vancouver artists can display and sell their art. Anyone is welcome to come to our shows. Our goal is to be a multifaceted art-orientated business, in which we support our fellow artists in Gastown and the local Vancouver community! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or check back on our blog page to find out about our upcoming art shows and gaining exposure for your work.

The history of our location…
Gastown is a historic core of Vancouver. In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s it was a prospering commercial centre flooded with activity.. The building which houses our tattoo parlour was built in 1900 and still has the original wood floors, brick walls and stone facade, today.
Gastown has a history of being a destination for tattoo collectors. In the late 1960′s legendary tattooer Ed Hardy did a stint here in Gastown. Being close to the port, many sailors would get tattooed when they got off the ship.
In 1971 the Gastown Riots happened right outside our doors. Over 1000 people were actively protesting against the illegality of marijuana and the police were called in to disperse the crowd. Following that riot, the city did not allow people to live in this section of town for many years and the area eventually died out. However, things have well since changed and Gastown has undergone a dramatic transformation from what it once was. Gastown is now not only a tourist destination, but also an artistic and creative hub and home to Gastown Tattoo Parlour.
